Frequently asked questions
About Metal Fight Beyblade and how BeyDex works.
What is the difference between Takara Tomy and Hasbro beys?
Takara Tomy is the Japanese company that created Metal Fight Beyblade. Hasbro released the line in the West, sometimes with different names, colors and packaging. The biggest gap is the 4D System: Hasbro kept the two-part 4D Fusion Wheels but released almost none of the 4D Performance Tips such as Final Drive (F:D), judged too strong for organized play. BeyDex lists both, and marks beys both brands sold looking the same as “Takara Tomy & Hasbro”.
Why do some beys have two names?
Hasbro renamed some beys for western markets: Pegasis became Pegasus, Aquila became Eagle, Phoenix became Fireblaze. BeyDex shows the Hasbro name and keeps the Takara Tomy name on the bey page. Search finds a bey by either name.
How can I spot a fake Metal Fight Beyblade?
Counterfeits are common on marketplaces. Compare the parts with the official ones: mold details, colors, stickers, the weight of the metal wheel and the packaging. The Authenticity Checker walks you through it, part by part, once you are signed in.
What are the seasons in the catalog?
The catalog follows the Metal Saga anime seasons: Metal Fusion, Metal Masters and Metal Fury. Each bey is filed under the season it belongs to on the Beyblade Wiki, which is not always its release year.
What is a loose part?
A part you own on its own, outside a complete bey: a spare wheel, a tip from a broken bey, an unidentified part. Add them to your inventory and BeyDex tells you which incomplete beys in your collection they can complete.
Is BeyDex free?
Yes. Browsing the catalog is open to everyone, and an account to track your collection, wishlist and loose parts is free.
Who can see my collection?
Nobody, unless you turn on “Public showcase” in your settings. Your showcase then lists the beys you own on your profile page.
Where do the data and photos come from?
Seasons and release years are checked against the English Beyblade Wiki on Fandom. Photos are courtesy of BeyCentral. Spotted a mistake or a missing bey? Use the contact page.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings, then Danger zone, and confirm with your username. Your account, collection, wishlist, inventory and showcase are deleted for good.
